We were inspired by the growing waste management problems and improper recycling practices. Many people do not know how to separate waste correctly, which increases pollution. So, we created EcoSort AI to make waste sorting simple and smart using Artificial Intelligence.
What it does
EcoSort AI scans waste items and identifies whether they are recyclable, biodegradable, hazardous, or general waste. It helps users dispose of waste properly and promotes eco-friendly habits.
How we built it
We built EcoSort AI using AI and computer vision technologies. The app analyzes images of waste materials and classifies them using machine learning models and a simple user-friendly interface.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges in training the AI model to accurately identify different waste materials and improving the classification speed and accuracy.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully developed a working AI-based waste sorting system that helps users recycle correctly and reduce environmental pollution.
