The thought of helping people reduce their carbon footprint with simple, everyday decisions motivated us to bring EcoShop AI to life.

What It Does

How We Built It

Building EcoShop AI was an exciting journey! 🚀 We started with OpenAI's GPT Builder, which allowed us to craft a smart and intuitive assistant. Prompt engineering played a crucial role—we carefully designed prompts to ensure the AI understood our goals and provided accurate suggestions.

To fetch real-time data, we integrated several APIs:

OxyLabs Search API: This helped us gather up-to-date product information from various sources.
Zappos API: We used this to access detailed product data, especially for eco-friendly brands.

Before integrating the APIs, we tested everything through terminal requests to make sure all systems were go. Debugging was a big part of the process—we had to fix authentication issues and ensure user privacy was maintained.

We also scraped few websites ourselves to get the fashion clothes data and used as fine-tuning data for the AI. So, we can provide the best suggestions to the users.

What's really cool is that we collaborated with AI agents like GPT-4, Claude-3.5 Sonnet, and Gemini-1.5. It's AI built with the help of AI! 🤖💡 Their insights helped us refine EcoShop AI's capabilities and make it as user-friendly as possible.

Challenges We Ran Into

The road wasn't always smooth. One of the biggest hurdles was finding the right APIs that provided accurate and relevant data. 🧐 Generating the OpenAPI schemes correctly was tricky, and we spent a lot of time tweaking them.

Prompt engineering was another challenge. We had to fine-tune our prompts to make sure the AI understood exactly what we wanted it to do. Authentication with different APIs also posed problems—we had to ensure secure connections while keeping user data safe.

What's Next for EcoShop AI

We're excited about the future! Next up, we plan to integrate with other services like Instacart. 🛒 This means users could not only find eco-friendly products but also purchase them instantly within the app.

We're also planning to integrate ElevenLabs API (ElevenLabs develops AI audio models that generate realistic, versatile and contextually-aware speech, voices, and sound effects across 32 languages.). It will enhance the user experience by providing audio feedback and making EcoShop AI more accessible to everyone.

We aim to expand our partnerships with more eco-conscious brands and include features like personalized sustainability goals. Imagine getting reminders or tips on how to make even greener choices!

We're also looking into enhancing our AI's capabilities by incorporating user feedback and staying updated with the latest in sustainable products. The journey has just begun, and we're eager to see where it takes us. 🚀
