Inspiration

We noticed people struggle to imagine how empty spaces—plots, terraces, courtyards—could be transformed into beautiful green areas. Sustainable design felt slow, expensive, and inaccessible. We wanted to make eco-friendly planning simple for everyone.

What it does

EcoScape AI turns any photo or prompt into realistic, eco-smart outdoor designs. It generates layouts with greenery, seating, pathways, and lighting—giving users multiple concepts they can compare, refine, and execute with confidence.

How we built it

Built a web app using Base44 AI for image-to-design generation

Used custom prompts + fine-tuned models for landscape and urban design styles

Added a layout suggestion engine for functional zoning (seating, plants, walkways)

Integrated simple inputs: upload a photo → generate concepts → refine

Challenges we ran into

Generating consistent designs from low-quality photos

Getting natural-looking greenery and materials

Balancing aesthetic design with functional outdoor planning

Making UI simple enough for non-designers

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Produced high-quality, realistic space transformations in seconds

Built an intuitive interface anyone can use

Created eco-focused templates for different space types

Enabled side-by-side comparison of multiple design concepts

What we learned

Good design needs both creativity and context-awareness

Users want fast visual ideas, not complex tools

Simple prompts + smart defaults = best results

Sustainable design becomes accessible when visualized clearly

What’s next for EcoScape AI
