Inspiration

We we're inspired to build a website for small business throughout the world to help them calculate carbon emissions accurately and quickly.

What it does

A company will be able to input their from and to locations, model of vehicle, mileage, and estimated cargo and the website will output the distance, estimated fuel consumption and tons of CO2 produced.

How we built it

We built our website mockup using Canva and our math mockup using Python.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge we ran into was figuring out the math, this took most of our time trying to understand it well and how to explain well to an audience, but as a team we managed to figure it out.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We accomplished some pretty amazing stuff over this weekend we're really proud of, we went from no idea of what we'll do to a well thought out idea in a matter of hours.

What we learned

We learned how to quickly explain complex math problems better to ourselves and to others. We also learned how to take advantage of team strengths which helped us improve our productivity.

What's next for EcoRoute?

The next route for EcoRoute would be publishing our site, making a premium version with more features to attract larger customers, and marketing.
