1. Inspiration (الفكرة / ما ألهمنا): With the massive boom in e-commerce, last-mile delivery and logistics have become major contributors to carbon emissions and high operational costs for small and medium businesses. We were inspired to build a smart solution that bridges the gap between business efficiency and environmental sustainability.
2. What it does (ماذا يفعل المشروع): EcoRoute AI is an intelligent cloud-based platform that analyzes delivery destinations for e-commerce orders, automatically calculates the most fuel-efficient and cost-effective routes, and provides real-time tracking and emission analytics for store owners.
3. How we built it (كيف قمنا بناءه / التقنيات المستخدمة): Backend & Cloud: Built using Python and cloud analytics services to process and analyze route data efficiently. Mapping & Optimization: Integrated geospatial APIs to calculate distances and traffic patterns. Frontend: A clean, responsive dashboard designed for store managers to monitor shipments, costs, and carbon footprint reduction in real time.
4. Challenges we ran into (التحديات التي تواجهناها): Balancing route optimization algorithms with real-time constraints like traffic data and multiple delivery windows while keeping the user interface simple and intuitive.
