EcoRide was inspired by the urgent need to address environmental challenges caused by transportation pollution, and the need to promote sustainable commuting habits for a cleaner future.
What it does
EcoRide is a user-friendly app that encourages people to choose better transportation options like biking, walking, or public transit through real-time journey planning, carbon footprint tracking, challenges, and a supportive community of other members.
How we built it
We built EcoRide using a combination of web and mobile development technologies, integrating APIs for public transportation data, mapping services, and gamification elements to create an engaging and informative user experience.
Challenges we ran into
During the development process, I encountered challenges related to data integration, ensuring accuracy of carbon footprint calculations (metrics etc.), creating a seamless and appealing user interface, and optimizing performance across multiple platforms.

I am proud to have successfully developed an idea for a functional app that empowers users to make eco-friendly transportation choices, fosters community engagement, and provides real-time information to facilitate sustainable commuting.
