Inspiration

Our inspiration for EcoQuest stems from the desire to motivate individuals towards sustainable daily practices while fostering a sense of accomplishment and community.

What it does

EcoQuest is a daily tasks and quests app that motivates users to make environmentally conscious choices. Complete tasks, earn points, and witness your impact on a real-time leaderboard. From simple habits to impactful challenges, EcoQuest transforms everyday actions into a positive force for a greener planet.

How we built it

Built using Solace PubSub, EcoQuest leverages Event-Driven Architecture to ensure seamless communication and real-time updates. The app incorporates a user-friendly interface made using Reactjs.

Challenges we ran into

We were a bit ambitious trying to have all the members working on different parts of the project, each one trying to work on something they wanted to learn about, while the core application itself was very incomplete.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We take pride in successfully implementing Event-Driven Architecture through Solace PubSub, creating a reliable and engaging platform for users to embrace sustainable habits. We are pretty happy to have been able to integrate multiple components into a ~~semi~~ functional application.

What we learned

We learned that it is important to start small and build a solid foundation instead of trying to incorporate everything from the beginning.

What's next for EcoQuest

We admit there are a lot of shortcuts that we took due to the time limitations, meaning that there are a lot of potential improvements for the future.
