EcoPulse: Smart Sustainability Tracker 🌱
About the Project
EcoPulse is a Flutter-based mobile application designed to help people build sustainable habits by tracking everyday eco-friendly activities. It encourages users to make small changes, such as saving water, reducing plastic use, recycling waste, and conserving electricity.
Inspiration
I wanted to create a simple mobile application that motivates people to care for the environment. Small daily actions can make a meaningful difference when they become regular habits. EcoPulse makes these actions easier to track and more rewarding.

How I Built It
I developed EcoPulse using Flutter and Dart. I used SharedPreferences to store supported app data locally and built the interface around a dashboard and dedicated sections for activities, insights, badges, and profile information.
Challenges
One challenge was configuring the Flutter environment and resolving Android build errors. I also worked on local data management, improving the user interface, and preparing the Android application for release.
What I Learned
This project helped me improve my Flutter and Dart skills, understand local data persistence, debug build issues, and organise a mobile application for a hackathon submission.
Future Improvements
Future plans include environmental impact calculations, daily reminders, sustainability challenges, community leaderboards, and an AI-powered eco assistant.
Conclusion
EcoPulse combines technology and environmental awareness to encourage sustainable everyday habits. My goal is to make eco-friendly living more engaging, measurable, and accessible.
