EcoPlan

I have always been fascinated by Earth. That's why, as I began to hear news about how humans are destroying our planet, I knew something must be done. However, I also noticed that many people were simply unable to do their part for various reasons. From constantly working to not having enough money, a wide range of problems existed for those who had the right heart but were stuck in the wrong situations. Moreover, the internet, full of anonymous people hiding behind a screen, often spreads misinformation online, making it hard to decipher what was the truth and what was just a facade. Because of this, I decided to start EcoPlan, a website that allows you to consult with a professional to look at opportunities that are right for both you and our planet. By choosing opportunities that fit certain people, it is more likely that they will carry through with it rather than get discouraged by others and themselves. I coded the website through online classes. Through the website I built, I hope to connect experts to others seeking help. Some challenge I had run into was creating a website in a language I didn't have much experience with. However, with perseverance and effort, I was able to understand the language more and more until I was finally able to code a website in it. One of the main accomplishments I had made was creating a calculator that gives you a statement of your current effects on the environment, which can also show how our experts could help you better the environment. Through this project, I learned many things, from a new language to the sheer amount of information I was able to research about climate change and the changes in our own lifestyle. In the future, I hope EcoPlan can expand to more clients, businesses, and others so we can all join hands in aiding our world.
