What it does
EcoPact allows users to both join and create initiatives that pinpoint and tackle sustainability goals, whether big or small, through community effort.
How we built it
We built this project using front-end HTML, CSS and Python (Flask library). EcoPact is to be deployed online through Vercel and made universally accessible & experiential.
Challenges we ran into
A daunting caveat that we faced was the connectivity and relay of information from our front-end to the Flask script. The terrain of Python's Flask lib was hard to traverse and match up to our front-end part.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our idea and that it's been set in motion and has achieved great progess to eventually show great results among users.
What we learned
We learned that using SQL is not the way to go when dealing with basic-level languages like HTML, as we used. Flask produces results and is matched with aspects of markup languages like data from input forms! We learned that with a great idea, comes immense responsibility, care and nuture for your intellectual insights to be incited into reality, exceeding expectations.
