Inspiration

Economic decisions impact millions, yet policymakers and businesses often lack real-time tools to assess consequences. Inspired by the need for data-driven policymaking and financial inclusion, we built EconoSense AI to merge fintech innovation with economic intelligence.

What it does

EconoSense AI provides:

  • Frontend: Next.js with TypeScript, hosted on AWS Amplify
  • Backend: Python-based AWS Lambda functions with API Gateway
  • AI/ML: Amazon SageMaker (model training & deployment), Comprehend (NLP), Forecast (predictions), Personalize (recommendations)
  • Data Layer: DynamoDB, S3, AWS Glue, Kinesis for real-time processing
  • Visualization: Amazon QuickSight dashboards & D3.js for custom charts
  • Infrastructure: AWS CDK (Infrastructure as Code) for scalable deployment

Challenges we ran into
