Inspiration
A very fun and evoking high school economics game turned assignment to gain hands-on experiences with various topics in economics.
What it does
Provides players with a fun learning experience within a historical setting. Players make economic decisions for their country and later learns about various economic events reflected at the end of the game.
How we built it
We used C# Windows Form Application Visual Studio IDE.
Challenges we ran into
We both haven't taken economics for 2 years, so it was a challenge to accurately remember the topics used in the game. To get over this problem, we made sure our information was correct by doing additional research online.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
How we prototyped the game and its design. Being able to incorporate a fun economics assignment into a computer game.
What we learned
We refreshed our memory on the topics of economics. We learned how to write functions and efficient programs in C#.
What's next for Economy Country Game
We want to add in more customized economics learning for the players. For example, if certain events occurred during their play, we want to specifically highlight those actions at the end and explain to the player in more depth on the economics side of it. We also wish to finish developing the game.
