Fun facts about marine life
Inspiration
Plastic waste kills up to a million seabirds a year. As with sea turtles, when seabirds ingest plastic, it takes up room in their stomachs, sometimes causing starvation. The issues arising with marine ecosystem led the idea of creating an application to help manage waste problem especially plastic waste.
What it does
The app distinguish recycled vs non-recycled plastic waste with just a few clicks. In addition, the app also has the section where students or kids who are interested in marine life can explore more about them for example, kids can read facts or article related to killer whale to learn more about them with direct click from the app.
How I built it
I built the app using JavaScript on the website called Studio.code.org.
Challenges I ran into
I never participated in hackathon before. It is my first time participating but it was an incredible experience.

Make realistic idea into real usage.
What's next for ECOMARINE
Developing the app with more advanced function using AI Imaging to distinguish each type of waste e.g. plastic, glass, paper, dangerous waste
