💡Inspiration:
The inspiration for EcoLog came from my diary making habit. This app would allow users to keep a record of their environmental footprint and that way consciously attempt to make planet Earth greener.
⚙️What it does:
EcoLog is a web that allows users to log and track their daily environmental activities. It provides users with the ability to record their commute, energy consumption and food.
🏗How we built it:
EcoLog was built using a combination of web development technologies and environmental data sources. We utilized HTML, CSS, JavaScript to build this web app.
🚧Challenges we ran into:
I ran into a few challenges while making EcoLog.
- Alien Language: This being the first time coding in JavaScript all by myself, I ran into a few challenges but was able to solve them using tutorials and websites.
- Time Constraints: The hackathon started at 9pm so i had to start at 9am in the morning so i missed almost 12 hours that I would have been glad to have
🏆Accomplishments that we're proud of:
I am proud to have made a working project in these 24 hrs.
What we learned:
This was my first JavaScript, html and css project and I'm glad to have learnt the basics of coding in this amazing language
What's next for EcoLog:
The journey for EcoLog doesn't stop here. In the future, we plan to expand the platform's features, and build a mobile app for sustainability tracking.
