Inspiration

Inspiration was gotten from the fact that health challenge has been on the rise lately and most of these are due to the lifestyles of individuals so to help solve such a problem Ecolmpact came up to help users track, understand, and reduce their carbon footprint through personalized AI recommendations and community engagement and at the end of the day improve the lifestyles of individuals who engages with Ecolmpact

How we built it

The application is built with: Next.js App Router for modern routing and server components React Context API for state management localStorage for data persistence (in a real app, this would be a database) shadcn/ui components for a polished UI Responsive design that works on all devices

Challenges we ran into

Just at the early stages of development we came across errors such failed to load SWC binary, conflicting dependencies and users not being able to track their data but all these where sorted out in no time

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The project design is clean, intuitive, and engaging, making sustainability accessible to everyone and it demonstrates both technical excellence and meaningful real-world impact - exactly what

What we learned

We came to appreciate the fact that visually engaging questionnaire about lifestyle choices and real-time calculation and visualization of personal impact can affect individuals greatly
