We were inspired by the need to raise awareness about environmental pollution and to encourage people to take action to protect the planet. We wanted to create a game that was both fun and educational for children, with the goal of inspiring them to make a positive impact on the world.

"Ecollectors" is a clicker-game that invites players to defeat monsters made of pollution. Players click on these monsters to essentially rid them of the environment. As a result, players earn money, which they can use to buy auto trash collectors to help clean up the environment alongside the user and their efforts. The game indirectly provides information about the presence of pollution in everyday life, as well as promotes cleanliness of the environment.

We built the game using C# on Unity. We designed and developed the game mechanics and graphics ourselves, focusing on creating a user-friendly interface and engaging gameplay.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was that we had to learn how to code in C# on Unity from scratch during the hackathon. We had some experience with coding before, but we had never used C# or Unity before, so we had to learn quickly. It was a steep learning curve, but we were determined to make the game work.

We're proud of the final product we created, but more rather, its concept. We feel that we successfully created a game that is both educational and entertaining, and we're proud of the positive feedback we have received from play-testers during the hackathon.

We learned a lot about game design and development throughout the process of creating "Ecollectors". We gained an understanding of the importance of balancing gameplay, developing engaging graphics, and creating a user-friendly interface. We also developed a deeper appreciation for environmental sustainability.

In the future, we hope to expand "Ecollectors" to reach a wider audience and to continue to educate and inspire people to take action to protect the environment. We plan to improve the game and add new features to keep players engaged and motivated.
