Inspiration

Team Ecolife was inspired to create such a project as we all care about the community, and we want to try our possible best to make it easy for Environmental NGOs to save the environment. We also knew that it will not be easy to engage all users as everyone has their own view of the issues at hand, so we decided to make it fun through our quizzes and chatbot, the more users engage the more they are providing funds to the NGOs.

What it does

Ecolife is a website which provides daily environmental news to users, engages users(of all ages) with a friendly chatbot(Ecobot) and quizzes on deforestation, pollution, and animal extinction. We also have an app for kids.

How we built it

We built Ecolife site with Wix, built the quiz using Javascript, CSS, HTML and the chatbot with an online chatbot builder( concept of ecolife app and ecobot was built with Figma)

Challenges we ran into

It was not easy making such a big project in a few days, we ran into some errors with the code when we first tried using React for the project. Also, it was hard directly placing the quiz code onto a website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that despite being from different time zones we were still able to collaborate and get the work done.

What we learned

We learned the power of teamwork and some new coding skills.

What's next for ECOLIFE

If possible, we hope to grow this project as it will be a great plus to the community and a fun way for users(of all ages) to know why they should help the environment.
