Inspiration

EcoLife was inspired by the urgent need for accessible tools and resources that help individuals adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives. There is increasing demand for enabling people to reduce their ecological footprints as environmental questions like climate change or depletion of natural resources begin to take center stage. So I aspired to design a platform that would not only inform users but also motivate them towards genuine actions leading towards a sustainable tomorrow.

What it does

EcoLife is a comprehensive sustainable living website designed to assist users in reducing their environmental impact. It provides:

  1. Carbon Footprint Calculator: An interactive tool to estimate and understand one's carbon emissions based on lifestyle choices.
  2. Energy and Water Conservation Tips: Practical advice and strategies for reducing energy and water usage.
  3. Waste Reduction Guidelines: Information on recycling, composting, and minimizing waste.
  4. Eco-Friendly Living Resources: Insights into sustainable fashion, green transportation, and other lifestyle changes for a greener life.

How we built it

EcoLife was built using ReactJS for its dynamic and responsive user interface, allowing for a seamless and interactive user experience. CSS is used to style the website, ensuring it is visually appealing and user-friendly.
