Inspiration

Climate change and environmental waste are huge problems, but many people don't know how their everyday choices affect the environment or what they can realistically do about it. We wanted to make sustainability simple, personal, and actionable.

What It Does

EcoLens AI helps users understand the environmental impact of their everyday habits, including transportation, food, electricity, shopping, and waste. It turns this information into an easy-to-understand sustainability score and personalized recommendations.

How We Built It

We built EcoLens AI as a responsive web application with an interactive dashboard. Users enter information about their daily habits, and the application analyzes the data to estimate their environmental impact. AI helps generate practical recommendations based on each user's results.

Challenges

One of our biggest challenges was presenting complex environmental information in a simple way. We focused on creating a clean interface with clear visual feedback so users can understand their impact without being overwhelmed by technical data.

What We Learned

We learned how to turn a real-world environmental problem into a practical technology solution. We also gained experience with web development, AI integration, data visualization, and designing an experience around the needs of users.

Future Plans

We want to improve the accuracy of the calculations, add more environmental categories, introduce personal progress tracking and sustainability challenges, and connect the platform with real-world data sources.
