Inspiration

In my household, whenever we buy produce and perishables, there comes a fork in events: 1. we forget the item(s) we bought and if it even exists and it expires and has to be thrown away and wasted. 2. The item's stock is eaten immediately and we don't know how much to restock and what the price was. In my thinking to solve this, I came across many ideas and solutions, and eventually landed on a smart Inventory powered by AI to educate all people about food waste and who needs the food that we can waste.

What it does

EcoInventory will track food waste, gives you real time stock updates, and when stock expires; if you don't know what to cook or have extra food but you do not want food waste, EcoInventory uses AI generated and curated recipes for you to use and make the most out of your food inventory. But, you don't want to cook or don't want to waste, EcoInventory has a solution for you, to donate to those who need the food that you don't need, and by utilizing the donate feature that EcoInventory provides, you are feeding the people who need food while you are reducing food waste. EcoInventory has built in AI Chatbots to assist you to help manage your food waste such as scheduling donation drops, quick stocking your food, and provide recomendations.

How we built it

I saw the recurring problem of food waste in my home, and with the help of Base44 by Wix, I created a solution for my problem that solves everyones problem about food waste and food management.

Challenges we ran into

A big challenge we ran into was the interpretation of our text into the product we want. In prompting, the AI would create static screens and did not create some screens that severely affected the dynamic app and the functionality of the application. But through the resources give, we were able to prompt engineer a proper solution and went beyond our current expectations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I was able to solve one of the biggest problems in my home, Im proud that this solution solve food waste and management for all americans, Eco-Inventory has 6 different capabilities that everyone can use bases on their needs.
