🌱 EcoHub – Project Story

What it does

1. The Spark During a college clean-up drive we realised everyone wanted to help, but: “Where do I start?” “Does my 1 hour really matter?” “Who else is doing this nearby?” A WhatsApp group exploded with photos of planted saplings and collected trash, yet we had no clue how many trees were actually planted, how much waste was removed, or who contributed. Data was lost in chat history and enthusiasm faded.

2. The Idea What if a single click could: Log the action (tree, cleanup, water-saving…) Auto-calculate impact (trees count, kg waste, CO₂ saved) Reward volunteers with points & badges Show a live community feed so efforts visible and contagious EcoHub was born — a social-good platform that turns individual eco-actions into collective measurable impact.
