Hi everyone! My name is Timur. I am 10 years old, and I live in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Every summer, my family stays at our countryside house near Tashkent.
I want to show you my app about solar energy and solar panels. I know I might be too young for your official competition, but on May 19th, I watched the Google conference. I heard about the hackathon and really wanted to share my project with you!
I became interested in solar energy three years ago when my dad installed solar panels at our countryside house. Since then, I’ve learned a lot about it. In the last six months, Gemini helped me learn even more. I found out that the sun can do so much! It can make electricity, heat up water, warm up houses, and there are many cool ways to store this energy for later.
Even before I heard about this contest, I started building an app for our friends and neighbors. They often visit us and ask: 'What’s so good about solar panels?' From my dad's answers, I realized that solar energy saves money and, most importantly, helps protect nature. So, I decided to put all of this into my app.
