Our inspiration for EcoFit came from our desire to not only improve our own personal health and fitness, but also to make a positive impact on the environment. We noticed a lack of technology that encourages environmentally friendly habits and decided to create a smart watch that promotes sustainable living.
What it does
EcoFit is a smart watch that tracks your steps and also encourages sustainable living by tracking and rewarding environmentally healthy actions such as reusing containers.
How we built it
We built EcoFit using a combination of a microcontroller, an accelerometer, and a web application. The watch tracks your steps and records your environmentally friendly actions through the web app.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges we faced was figuring out how to accurately track and reward environmentally friendly actions. We also faced some technical challenges with integrating the accelerometer and web app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of successfully creating a working prototype of EcoFit that accurately tracks and rewards environmentally friendly actions. We are also proud of the innovative idea of using a smart watch to promote sustainable living.
What we learned
We learned the importance of thorough planning and research in the development process. We also gained valuable experience in integrating different technologies.
What's next for EcoFit
We plan to continue improving and refining EcoFit, with a focus on adding more environmentally friendly actions to track and reward. We also hope to bring EcoFit to market and make it available to a wider audience, in the hopes of promoting sustainable living and reducing environmental impact.
