Inspiration

We drew inspiration from the history of credit reporting and how they have refined the way they collect and quantify a persons credit worthiness. As well as The advancement of cloud technology and it's immense processing power that makes real-time data analytics possible.

What it does

Our application attaches itself to every individual vehicle in an organization’s fleet, recording metrics that reflect the co2 emission cost of every delivery ("EcoDebt"). While the truck is en-route that we provide real time feedback on courses of action that will help minimize the amount of Co2 emitted during delivery. We then quantify the fleets rate of adoption into one metric we coin as an EcoScore, which when tallied will be clear concise metric that reflects the operations Co2 reduction efficiency.

How we built it

We are still firmly within ideation and as such built a presentation with the use of resources such as figma, canva, and other design tools to best present our idea and why we think it would be a viable one.

Challenges we ran into

The desire to build a technically working demo but lacking the time to do one efficiently, But we are confident that we have chosen the best vehicle to represent our idea at this stage.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our collaboration as a team and Honestly the fact that we took the challenge and came up with an idea we genuinely believe in.

What we learned

We learnt so much more about the impact of Co2 emissions, the commitment Canada has made to addressing the issue.

What's next for EcoFax

One step at a time, we are excited to hear the feedback we receive and hoping to take off from there.
