Inspiration
The little knowledge that we have of recycling. Loyola University Maryland is really bad at recycling and could do better, so we wanted to create a platform to show our classmates the importance of recycling.
What it does
Gives important recycling facts.
How we built it
We used Java React and JavaScript to implement features into a well put together app that demonstrate our knowledge of how app development can create things we want and how you can tie computer science to topics like recycling.
Challenges we ran into
We couldn't figure out how to do a sign in, we also couldn't figure out how to store input from users such as the recycling questions on the homepage.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Never doing anything with JavaScript before or Java React.
What we learned
We learned a lot about recycling in the US and how bad and wasteful Americans can be.
What's next for EcoFacts
We're going to try to figure out how to store user inputs and sign in.
