The inspiration behind EcoEd came from observing how many people especially students talk about climate change but struggle to translate awareness into action. During environmental discussions and college workshops, I noticed that while there was interest in sustainability, most people lacked guidance on practical steps they could take in their daily lives. I wanted to create something that could bridge that gap a tool that empowers individuals to learn, act, and measure their positive environmental impact. That idea became EcoEd, an app that combines education, community, and gamified challenges to make sustainability more engaging.
Throughout this project, I learned how technology can become a powerful medium for change when combined with purpose-driven design.
