Inspiration Every hackathon I go with a challenge in mind. Use something you've never used before. My last hackathon was web-based and the front-end had never touched either one of those. So for this hackathon, I decided to do an IOS app that I found out uses Swift (I didn't even know they used Swift and that I had to download Xcode for it) I like to believe we use technology to better our standard of living and those around us so I went with a recycling app.

What it does The premise was to have an app that could take a picture and analyze it to see what the components of the item were made of based on a percentage(a picture of a water bottle would output plastic). Once the system finds what category it fits in, it will show you the nearest place to dispose of it properly. I had also planned for a reward base where if you had shown proof of recycling it would give you points. I had a couple of ideas for the points but didn't get that far

How we built it I built it using Xcode and Swift.

Challenges we ran into HAHAHA I ran into so many issues once one was solved another one would appear. Sometimes I would make progress sometimes I would regress.

Accomplishments that we're proud of Took a challenge of using tools and languages I've never used and now here at the end I feel very comfortable with them, even tho my work is incomplete.

What we learned LOTS, learned a lot about apis swift, simulations
