Inspiration
EcoCare was inspired by a personal experience with my grandfather, who had Alzheimer's disease. Watching him struggle with memory loss and daily struggles showed me how important it is to support both patients and their families through tools that can make their lives easier.
What it does
EcoCare is an AI-powered memory assistant that helps patients stay organized and independent. A key feature of EcoCare is the integration of OpenAI, which acts as an AI assistant, offering voice-activated reminders and providing information about the patient's surroundings and the people they know. This helps bridge the communication gap and gives patients a sense of security.
How we built it
I've used many AI in building EcoCore and Powering the provided features using APIs, the AI tools we’ve used: Figma, Bubble, Lovable, Basic HTML, JavaScript & CSS.
Challenges we ran into
The Main challenges I ran into were integrating the API's with the EcoCare.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The accomplishments that I'm proud of are that we visited the Fouad Habib Alzheimer's Center in Egypt to understand and meet patients at various stages of Alzheimer’s. This made me so happy and sad while going to the center and experiencing this moment, watching them struggle so hard while trying to remember daily things.
What we learned
I've learned that Alzheimer's patients face a lot of challenges daily, and also learning how to use bubble and how to integrate API's into the app.
