I do Web Development using the MERN stack, but I have never actually used any designer tools.

I've actually created a fullstack application called Eco Up for sustainhacks, but I wasn't able to actually submit it due to complications. I actually want to create a better design for this web app, therefore I decided to learn Figma today. Figma is a new technology that I haven't worked with yet.

I learned about Wireframes, importing templates and mockups, grouping, shapes, and text. I also learned about the different properties for shapes and text such as corner rounding, width and height, line spacing, x and y, etc. Although these things exists in web development, it's really refreshing to see it in a completely new work domain.

I learned that as a beginner, I should use templates or mockups to help guide my designing. I used a template as a reference while trying to come up with my own design.

I made sure to group things together to allow for organized components. It really resembles web development in a lot of ways.

Using Figma for the first time to create designs was actually really fun! I will continue to learn using Figma to potentially benefit my own eye for design for my web apps. I hope I can use Figma as a way to structure my web apps before I create them.
