## 🚀 Inspiration

Cities today react too late to environmental crises. Pollution spikes and water contamination often escalate before action is taken. We wanted to build a system where cities can think, predict, and act instantly—like a self-healing organism powered by AI.

⚙️ What it does

EcoSentinel AI monitors real-time environmental data 🌍 including air quality, water safety, and biosensors. It detects anomalies, predicts how risks will spread, and autonomously takes action—such as closing valves 🚰, rerouting traffic 🚦, and dispatching drones 🚁—without human delay.

🛠️ How we built it

We developed a full-stack system using FastAPI (backend), Firebase (real-time database), and a modular AI reasoning engine. A sensor simulator feeds live telemetry 📡, a predictive engine forecasts risks, and a cyberpunk-style dashboard 📊 visualizes everything with an AI-powered Eco-Copilot interface.

⚡ Challenges we ran into

Handling real-time data streaming, ensuring consistent AI-generated structured outputs, and designing safe autonomous actions without false triggers were key challenges.

🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a working autonomous pipeline that not only detects environmental risks but also executes real-time infrastructure actions—bringing the concept of a self-healing smart city to life.

📚 What we learned

We learned how to integrate AI with real-time systems, design scalable architectures, and balance automation with reliability and safety in critical environments.

🔮 What’s next for EcoSentinel AI

We plan to integrate real IoT devices, improve predictive accuracy using advanced ML models, and pilot the system in real-world smart city deployments 🌆.
