Eco Round

Inspiration

The inspiration behind Eco round would be the struggle of finding a volunteering hours when we were in high school. During our breaks between terms, we wanted to go out and help our communities around us. It can be as simple as joining a park clean up to visiting retirement homes. While creating this app, we hope to achieve a more substantial earth.

What it does

It is a website that will allow both the nonprofit/profit companies post their volunteer events for anyone to join. An easy way to get access of information about the services that is around the neighborhoods.

How we built it

We built a website using react as the front end with convex as the backend.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the challenges that we ran into was the frontend of the website since we did not have enough time to fix it and make it look pretty.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we manage to learn about Convex in a short amount of time and use it as our database.

What we learned

We learned that preparation was key since on the first day of the hackathon. It was unfortunate that some of us forgot our laptop charger at home and had to regroup the next day.
