Inspiration
We realized that many people care about the environment, but it’s hard to turn that care into daily action. We wanted to make doing good for the planet feel simple and motivating. That idea became Eco Quest.
What it does
Eco Quest turns eco-friendly actions into small missions.
Users complete missions in real life, upload before-and-after photos, and earn XP for their actions.
The goal is to help people build better habits through small steps.
How we built it
We created a simple app with:
- A mission list
- A photo verification system
- An XP system
- Unlockable missions
- A leaderboard
Challenges we ran into
It was challenging to make the app feel fun without making environmental action feel like a joke. We also worked hard to design a simple but fair way for users to verify their missions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a full system where users can choose a mission, complete it, verify it, and earn XP. We’re proud that Eco Quest connects real-world action with a simple and clear digital experience.
What we learned
We learned that people are more likely to act when progress feels visible and simple. Small actions, repeated over time, can create real change.
What's next for Eco Quest
Next, we plan to improve our verification system by integrating AI.
AI will help analyze before-and-after photos to better confirm whether a mission was truly completed. This will make the system more reliable while keeping the process simple for users.
We also want to expand mission categories and explore real-world rewards for active participants. Our goal is to make Eco Quest smarter, more trustworthy, and even more engaging over time.
