Inspiration
ECO-QUEST was inspired by the pressing need to raise awareness about environmental issues and the impact of human choices on our planet. By combining education with engaging gameplay, we aim to empower players to think critically about sustainability.
What it does
ECO-QUEST is a 2D adventure game where players control a character navigating through various environments. As they encounter obstacles, players answer quiz questions that affect both their survival and the state of the Earth. Good choices enhance the world, while poor decisions can lead to environmental harm.
How we built it
We developed ECO-QUEST using a combination of game design software and educational resources. Our team collaborated closely to create engaging graphics, dynamic gameplay mechanics, and a rich database of quiz questions that reflect real-world environmental issues.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges was balancing the educational content with fun gameplay. We also faced technical hurdles in ensuring smooth transitions between environments and implementing the quiz mechanics seamlessly.
What's next for ECO-QUEST
Moving forward, we plan to expand the game with new environments, more quiz questions, and multiplayer features. We aim to collaborate with educators to integrate ECO-QUEST into classroom settings, fostering a broader discussion about environmental stewardship.
