Eco-Friendly Cities

Inspiration

I live in a coastal region near sea level and have recently been more afraid of rising sea levels due to climate change.

What it does

I wanted to create a website that showed people what their current cities are like regarding the climate crisis both currently and in the future. It also gives people a chance to compare with other cities and maybe learn some tricks of how other places improved their resilience to the climate.

How we built it

I built it using Python and Streamlit.

Challenges we ran into

There was a lot of information to research and put into the code.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is my first hackathon so I was figuring out a lot as I was going, but I am proud of how much I learned and hope to participate in more.

What we learned

Building GUIs is not my specialty, but I learned a lot and believe I can do even more next time.

What's Next for Eco-Friendly Cities

Hopefully, people will begin to see where they can make changes and use each other as inspiration to learn more and work for the future.
