Inspiration

My inspiration came from my FLL Robotics project, the Smarter Buoy, which helped marine animals out of nets and picked up gear.

What it does

Eco Buddy cleans up the beaches, picks up the trash, and even frees marine life.

How we built it

I used the spike app for coding, and when I make the robot I will use the Spike Prime Robotics Kit

Challenges we ran into

Finding the attachments that would help the most and making the python code was a challenge as well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the features of Eco Buddy, such as the attachments, marine rescue mode, Teamwork Power, and eco friendly design.

What we learned

Creating Eco Buddy taught me a lot — not just about coding and robotics, but also about how big problems can be solved with creativity, technology, and teamwork. I believe that even though I’m just one person (and still a kid!), I can still make a difference. If we all think like inventors and care for our Earth, we can protect our oceans, animals, and planet.Even a robot can be a hero!!!

The Future

Imagine a world where every beach has its own team of Eco Buddies. They could work while people sleep, picking up litter and saving marine life before the sun even rises. With more research, I’d love to upgrade Eco Buddy to work on rocky shores, underwater zones, and even rivers or lakes. In the future, I also hope to give Eco Buddy solar charging capabilities, so it can run entirely on clean energy. I’d also like to add AI-based object recognition, so it can better identify types of trash and marine creatures in need of help. Another thought is that they can communicate wirelessly, so they don’t bump into each other or go in circles.
