Inspiration
As students, we dont use tools to help us as much as we would like, therefor, we decided making a website with these tools in one spot would help us organize our study sessions.
What it does
This is a simple (very beginner-y) website where we valued the resources one has to build a solid foundation to study for exams.
Our main focus is the ability to create flashcards, either using AI to make them or having the user make them manually, you can then also study these flashcards with an interactive interface.
How we built it
We used front-end knowledge to build the overall aesthetics and basic functionality of the website, like the flashcard views, the pomodoro timer, the buttons, etc.
As for the back-end of our project, we used Node.js for runtime environment, Nuxt as the main framework and nitro (Nuxt's server engine) for the API routes to tie everything together.
Challenges we ran into
A member of our team dropped out of the hackathon last minute, leaving us with only two members, this made our workload heavier, this alongside a very drastic timezone difference, made the project tedious to handle, in the end we managed to overcome all.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Completing a project within a tight time frame made us more knowledgeable of the steps needed to make this happen. We are also proud that we could put our heads into learning and perfecting programming languages for this project and tools we can use in the long run.
What we learned
We learned a lot about what goes behind a tech project. And how we can implement AI into it.
What's next for EchoThoughts
We would love to polish the aspects we already have before adding new features like a notepad or even diagrams.
