As someone who always struggled in English Class, we wanted to create an AI assistant tutor which can successfully help turn hours of long lectures into a few simple lines of text, making it easy to understand. It can also simplify complicated questions without giving the answer, allowing users to learn from it and ace future tests. To build this project, we mainly used React Native and Expo and Google Gemini's 2.5-flash model to give quick answers. Some challenges we faced were implementing AI into our project and making it work. We also faced issues with changing our idea, causing us to get delayed and losing some time. Some new things we learned were how to communicate well as a group, how to properly pitch an idea and also how to properly debug code and use AI to help ones with disablilites.
