Exploring a new city or moving to a new neighborhood can feel overwhelming. Traditional travel guides are generic, outdated, and lack relevance. Travelers, students, and new residents need real-time, personalized&engaging insights to navigate their surroundings effortlessly.

What It Does

EchoHood is an AI-powered hyperlocal audio guide that provides curated, location-based insights on:

  • Local landmarks and cultural hubs
  • Multilingual support for global users
  • Offline accessibility for uninterrupted exploration without roaming charges.
  • Personalized voices and themes for a tailored experience

Users can choose a neighborhood or enable location-based discovery to explore through AI-generated audio guides, categorized by interests such as history, restaurants, shopping and safety.

How We Built It

We leveraged AI and machine learning to generate dynamic, context-aware audio content. The platform integrates:

  • LLM-based guides with relevant insights
  • Multilingual speech synthesis for accessibility
  • Custom voices generated with ElevenLabs
