Inspiration
Emergencies require fast, coordinated decisions. We built EchoGuard MCP to make emergency response planning smarter, safer, and more transparent using AI.
What it does
EchoGuard MCP analyzes emergency reports, assesses risks, applies safety policies, generates responder briefings, prepares notification previews, and maintains an incident audit trail.
How we built it
We built EchoGuard using React, TypeScript, Vite, Express, and an MCP server with specialized tools for incident intake, assessment, safety guidance, briefing generation, and simulation.
Challenges we ran into
Designing safe emergency workflows, handling uncertain or unverified information, coordinating multiple tools, and maintaining clear audit trails were our key challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We developed a functional MCP prototype, connected and tested its tools using MCP Inspector, and built an interactive emergency coordination dashboard with simulation-first safety controls.
What we learned
We learned that emergency AI must prioritize safety, transparency, uncertainty awareness, and human oversight over automation alone.
