The Problem our Solution Addresses

Music is personal. We tie it to the best and worst moments of our lives. Yet, existing platforms offer limited ways to share these emotional connections in a meaningful and interactive way. While apps like Airbuds and Soundcloud focus on playlists and music discovery, they lack the ability to capture and exchange memories, emotions, and thoughts connected to songs.

This led us to ask, how might we help people express and share the emotions behind their favorite songs in a way that feels personal, immersive, and engaging.

Why We Picked This Solution and How it Addresses the Problem

Our solution creates a space where people can connect with friends or a crowdsourced community through music-driven storytelling, fostering deeper emotional bonds and preserving personal histories in an engaging, accessible way. Initially, we envisioned users attaching personal stories and memories to songs. However, our survey revealed that people often associate songs with general feelings and moments rather than specific memories.

In response, we pivoted to a more inclusive and expressive approach, allowing users to share their experiences through multiple senses, such as touch, smell and even abstract connections like food or seasons. This not only makes storytelling more immersive and fun but also deepens the understanding between users in a uniquely personal way.
