Echoes – Your Voice, Forever

✨ Inspiration

I’ve always been fascinated by time capsules—simple messages that preserve a moment in time. I wanted to build a tool that makes it easy for anyone to record thoughts, feelings, or encouragement for their future self. Echoes grew out of the desire to create something personal, calming, and meaningful.

💡 What it does

Echoes lets users create text or voice messages, select a date to unlock them, and receive a supportive reflection when they open the message later. It’s like sending yourself a gentle reminder or encouragement across time.

🛠️ How we built it

I used Bolt.new, a no-code platform with AI-powered tools, to build Echoes. I created the landing page, message creation flow, audio recording support, unlock feature, and reflection logic in a single project. I iterated several times to improve design, usability, and responsiveness.

⚡ Challenges we ran into

• Ensuring audio recording and playback worked reliably across devices
• Designing a clean, modern interface that feels warm and inviting
• Adjusting styles and colors so everything stayed visually balanced
• Integrating a custom logo without breaking the layout
