Echoes of Memory - Project Information

Elevator Pitch

"Test your visual memory in 60 seconds - study abstract scenes, then reconstruct them from memory for the ultimate recall challenge!"

About the Project

Inspiration

The idea for "Echoes of Memory" came from wanting to create something different in the crowded memory game space. While most memory games focus on sequence recall (like Simon Says), I was inspired by the challenge of reconstructive memory - the ability to rebuild something you've seen rather than just remember a pattern. This type of memory is what we use in real life when trying to recreate a scene, remember where we placed objects, or recall visual details.

The concept draws inspiration from:

  • Art memory exercises used in drawing classes
  • Witness testimony studies in psychology
  • Procedural generation from modern indie games
  • Minimalist design philosophy for focused gameplay
