Echoes in Light was inspired by a scenic town's Marginal Way along the cliffs of Ogunquit Maine. Maine's diverse terrain and breathtaking views blend together to construct the United States Northeastern coast. The build is designed to visually and mentally provoke though, while delivering a powerful message in an immersive reality on the Meta-Horizion platform.
A minimalist use of Blender and Meta's Desktop Editor was required yet the entire world was constructed solely from a MetaQuest 3 headset showing not everything needs to be built in a 2D fashion. In fact it relates to the individuals who like to get their hands involved in the creative possibility.
Relative to projects this build ran into some complications while learning how to manipulate and maneuver a platform. Sometime the platform itself is the problem via limitations and glitches and in turn there is adaptation because with coding comes uncertainty.
In this instance a developer is challenged to tap into their own resources and overcome.
While many accomplishment were brought to the forefront along with a culmination of growth and learning throughout all Vega202 builds developed over time. The main lesson was even with limitations a world can be produced which promotes a realistic approach to VR via light and shadow.
The next step in the development of Echoes in Light is to bring the experience to the user and let it be a stepping stone to their own creativity. The possibilities are endless with hopes Echoes in Light becomes a subject of inspiration.
