Inspiration

We were inspired by the challenge of understanding how AI systems process information and connect ideas. AI can produce powerful results, but its workflows can be difficult to follow when presented only as text. We wanted to make these connections easier to explore visually..

What it does

While building EchoTrace, we learned more about developing web applications, creating interactive graph visualizations, and connecting frontend components. We also learned the importance of teamwork, communication, and adapting when technical problems arise.

How we built it

We built EchoTrace as a web application using React and TypeScript to create an interactive interface for visualizing connections between ideas. We worked with graph components to represent relationships visually and focused on making the experience intuitive for users. We also explored integrating AI services into the project.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was getting different parts of the application to work together. Managing code changes across our team, troubleshooting dependencies, and coordinating AI integration required patience and collaboration. We learned to break problems into smaller steps, test changes carefully, and communicate more effectively.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

What we learned

We hope to continue improving EchoTrace by making its visualizations more informative, its interface more intuitive, and its AI-powered features more useful.

What's next for Echo Trace

Moving forward, we want to make EchoTrace more powerful, interactive, and accessible. We plan to improve our AI integration, expand our visual graph capabilities, and make it easier for users to explore connections between ideas. We also hope to improve the user interface, enhance performance, and help users better understand complex AI workflows. Ultimately, our goal is to make EchoTrace a useful tool for anyone who wants to explore how AI connects information and makes sense of complex tasks.
