Inspiration
I have a habit of reading articles (particularly within India and sometimes Global) and all the article/news provider webs uses ads and all which distracts me from getting the key insights. also i don't like the website structures, they are not clean, productive, and of course those irritating ads. So i though of buuilding a well structured, ad-free platform for users like me who wants to be updated but need a clear structure.
What it does
Echo uses web scraping tools to scrape headlines from multiple sources (Progress: Only of India especially IndianExpress, future scope: global categorized updates) and shows them at one place.
How i built it
I have used help of AI to understand the logic, tools and technology to use. I have designed the frontend by giving a specific prompt to generated what users need and what i prefer.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenges i ran into was some website are not properly structures to scrape the news perfectly and also some websites (BBC news etc.) does not provide permissions to scrape their webpages.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
besides from those challenges, i have picked Indian Express news portal to scrape the news and display with proper structure.

What's next for Echo: NewsAggregator
till now i have scraped only the headline, source (Link) and for the future scope i will scrape Images, short paragraph and many more things that are related to news headline. Integrate LLMs chatbots.
