We built Echo-Locate because current navigation is built for speed, not for people. It is the first 'Sensory-Safe' navigator designed specifically for neurodivergent individuals and the visually impaired."

To build this, we moved away from the standard Google Maps API. We used Leaflet for an open-source, high-contrast map interface and the GraphHopper Routing Engine to build our custom 'Calm Algorithm.' AI Disclosure: We collaborated with Gemini AI to architect the sensory-weighting logic. We used it to help map complex OpenStreetMap tags, like identifying that a 'Mall' isn't just a destination, but a high-noise zone, creating an interval that can change depending on location.

What makes us unique is our Sensory Keyword Engine. While other maps see a Mall as just a coordinate, Echo-Locate identifies it as a 90% noise/crowd risk and automatically suggests a residential side-street instead.
