Inspiration

We wanted to create something that feels less like a website and more like an experience. ECHO 2197 was inspired by the idea of preserving human memories and asking what humanity would leave behind.

What it does

ECHO 2197 lets users explore a futuristic 3D archive containing memories, Earth, culture, science, and music. Users can interact with the environment and leave their own message for the future.

How we built it

We built ECHO 2197 using modern web technologies, 3D graphics, interactive animations, particle effects, immersive lighting, and responsive UI to create a cinematic WebGL experience.

Challenges we ran into

Creating an immersive 3D environment while keeping interactions smooth and performance-friendly was our biggest challenge. We also had to balance visual effects with usability and loading times.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of turning a simple website into an interactive story. The cinematic opening, explorable archive, interactive elements, and user-generated final message make the experience feel unique.

What we learned

We learned how important performance optimization, 3D interaction design, visual storytelling, and smooth transitions are when building immersive web experiences.

What's next for ECHO 2197

We want to expand the archive with more memories, locations, hidden stories, multiplayer exploration, voice interactions, richer 3D environments, and a persistent system where visitors can contribute to humanity's digital archive.
