Inspiration

Group trouble with trying to find a movie that everyone will like.

What it does

Reads facial expressions using Google's facial recognition to determine emotional reaction to different film poster to determine type of genres user enjoys.

How we built it

Android Studio, TMDb(online movie database), Google Cloud Vision API

Taking pictures without displaying camera

That building an app overnight is a lot harder than it seems.

I helped to follow up on each stage of the project. Along the way, there were issues that were encountered which we overcame as a team. It was an awesome experience to build an Android application and work with APIs like the Google Cloud Vision API.

Kent Tsuenchy
I helped contribute on the android Studio portion and setting up the algorithm for building preferences for users. Also helped a little on storing data of users into JSON. Mostly worked on Google Vision API to store reaction of users
