The inspiration for this comes from the need. The necessity is the mother of invention, after all. With remote learning while we have been able to adapt to learning classwork. Colleges have dropped the ball when it comes to preserving other aspects of college life. This naturally leaves a gap which eCampus fills.

What it does

At surface eCampus is a chat platform. However, it's unique that in two ways. It only consists of people who are all from the same college. Secondly, it promotes creating small groups of five or so. Keep in touch with real world does wonders to mental health.

How I built it

For now I built it using Adobe XD, it's an MVP and prototype. The next version will use Html, Js, Css, React, Postgresql, Redis, Websocket and RabbitMQ.

Challenges I ran into

Designing an intuitive UI was one of the biggest challenge. There is a fine line between innovating and keeping up with current UI patterns that people have come to know from other apps.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Honestly It was actually to manage to come up with something meaningful in time, learn some coding, improve presentation skills, and make friends with other people even though we are not in a team.

What I learned

Presentation skills, new concept in tech, algorithm complexity from workshop, registering a domain, and python.

What's next for eCampus
