The recent Ebola outbreak in West Africa sent the world into a media frenzy. Amidst all the noise, EbolApocalypse.me aims to provide some sanity: concise, rational advice on the Ebola outbreak. But EbolApocalypse.me isn't just for the logical web-surfer: as a tongue-in-cheek poke at EbolObsession, we've included basic survival advice so you'll be prepared for the worst-case scenario.
On the backend EbolApocalypse is written in HTML5 with CSS animations and a smattering of JavaScript. The landing page uses user location data to recommend signing up for one of our five regional or one national Ebola-update Yo accounts. The "GO ROGUE" page uses the Google Maps API to embed a map of nearby food sources.
